Privacy Notice

This notice describes how Malfoid Chat collects and uses information when you use the service. It reflects how the product works today.

Information we collect

• Account: Google sign-in identifiers such as user ID, email, and display name via Firebase Authentication
• Profile: name and relationship preference you provide during onboarding (stored in Firestore)
• Chat: messages you send and AI replies, stored so you can continue the conversation
• Purchases: entitlement balances and purchase records tied to your account; payment card details are handled by Stripe, not stored by us as full card numbers
• Usage: limited operational events for exchange accounting and security
• Analytics: Firebase Analytics may collect standard app usage data (for example page views) when analytics is enabled

Onboarding drafts may also be kept temporarily in your browser’s local storage before you finish setup.

How we use information

• Authenticate you and restore access to purchases and chat
• Generate AI replies and keep conversation context
• Fulfill Stripe Checkout and credit message packs
• Operate, secure, and improve the service
• Respond to support requests

Service providers

We rely on third parties to run the product:

• Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, and analytics
• Stripe — payment processing
• OpenAI — generating AI replies; recent conversation context and your profile cues may be sent to produce responses

These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies as needed to provide their services.

Cookies and similar technology

Authentication and analytics may use cookies or similar storage in your browser. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may prevent sign-in or other features from working.

Retention and deletion

We keep account, chat, and purchase-related data as long as needed to provide the service and meet operational or legal requirements. You can permanently delete your account from Settings (Delete account). That removes your chat history, profile, entitlements, and Firebase Auth account. You can also email support@malfoid.com from the address associated with your Google account to request help with deletion. We may retain limited records needed for fraud prevention, accounting, or legal compliance.

Your choices

• Sign out or stop using the service at any time
• Update profile details where the product allows
• Delete your account in Settings, or contact us for access/deletion help

Children

Malfoid Chat is for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
